Amwest Insurance to Pay $1.9 Million in Rebates

Amwest Insurance Group Inc. reached a settlement with state insurance regulators over Proposition 103 rebates.
The Woodland Hills-based surety and property and casualty company said the settlement amount is $1.9 million.
Amwest also said it had previously set aside reserves to cover that sum, so the settlement will not have any further impact on Amwest’s earnings.
