Pepperdine Alumni to Greet New Coach

Orange County alumni of Pepperdine University will host a reception for the Waves’ new basketball coach, Lorenzo Romar, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Irvine Marriott hotel, 18000 Von Karman Ave.

The gathering also will be a “networking mixer” for alumni, a university spokesman said. Tickets at the door are $25, which includes dinner.
