Washington, Walters Ready

USC tailbacks Delon Washington and Shawn Walters will return Saturday against Houston at the Astrodome, their suspensions completed.
Washington, listed as the starter when the season began, served a three-game USC and NCAA suspension, and he shed a bit more light on the reason for his punishment, called only “an ethical violation” by USC.
Asked if he’d been accused of lying to USC faculty athletic representative Noel Ragsdale about a class matter, he said: “I was accused of lying, that’s all I know. . . . To Ragsdale, yeah. I don’t know anything else.”
Walters, accused by the NCAA of taking money from an agent a year ago and who was suspended the equivalent of one season, said he has made restitution of $1,500 of the $3,416 he must repay to a charity of his choice, to be determined later.
