A thief escaped with an unknown amount of cash Tuesday after robbing a West Valley bank, officials with the FBI and Los Angeles Police Department said.
The robbery occurred at 11:07 a.m. when a man entered a Bank of America branch at 20118 Roscoe Boulevard and slipped a note to the teller that read “this is holdup, large bills only,” FBI spokeswoman Laura Bosley said.
The man, who was wearing a blue jacket and a baseball cap, did not produce a weapon but the teller handed over a bag of money that also contained a red dye pack, police said.
The robber fled with an accomplice in a vehicle believed to be a white Nissan Sentra.
