Nothing Warm and Fuzzy About Zoeller’s Remark

Kudos to Tom Kite for the best quote of Masters weekend:
“I don’t care what race he is. He’s a golfer. He’s a nice kid. He’s a champion. He has great parents that did a great job raising him. He’s a pleasure to have in our sport.”
Tiger Woods already has a legion of fans, ranging from children to senior citizens, blacks, whites and Asians. Let’s let Tiger add to a culture in which, going forward, we respect great athletes for the great talent they bring to the game. Let’s not make the main attraction what racial origin these athletes come from. Otherwise the walls will always remain standing.
