New Options for Golfers on the Go

The burgeoning interest in golf has spawned a new travel service. On the Internet, Global Golf Club aims to match up traveling golfers with partners in other cities and countries. Members provide their name, address, handicap, home course and other information, choose a location and then search the data base for appropriate partners. Each search generates names of three members, who can then be e-mailed.
Avid golfer Alan Fraser in Scotland said about 350 people have enrolled since he put up the Web site in mid-January. For now, membership is free. The Web site is at https://www.globalgolfclub.com. Fraser can be reached via fax at 011-44-1620-842-223.
