From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Imad Baba and Francis Okaroh scored shootout goals Sunday to give the New England Revolution a 3-2 Major League Soccer victory over the Dallas Burn in front of a Foxboro Stadium crowd of 15,819.

The start of the game was delayed because of lightning, but once the match began Dallas struck quickly. Damian opened the scoring for the Burn (8-7) in the 20th minute and Jason Kreis doubled the lead with a goal seven minutes later.

New England fought back and cut the margin to 2-1 when Alejandro Farias scored in the 29th minute.
