San Diego State Beats SCC in Men’s Basketball

Despite Adam Dzierzynski’s game-high 20 points, San Diego State defeated Southern California College, 74-64, in men’s basketball Friday at San Diego State.
Matt Watts had 19 points for San Diego State, which led, 40-30, at the half.
In another nonconference men’s game:
Holy Names 71, Concordia 64--Joey Bucsh scored 16 points and Josh Giles added 14 for Concordia. Concordia (5-4), which shot 53% from the field, trailed, 44-30, at halftime.
In the San Antonio women’s basketball tournament:
UC Irvine 66, Texas-Pan American 50--Chelsea Mackey led UC Irvine (4-3) with 12 points and eight rebounds and Leticia Oseguera had 10 points and 14 rebounds. Krissy Duperron also added 10 points for Irvine. Texas Pan American (1-8) was led by Alexis Williams with 17 points and five assists.
