Organizers of a Jan. 31 concert to benefit the Nicole Brown Simpson Charitable Foundation hope to raise $15,000 to donate to shelters for battered women and their children.
Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers will headline the show at the 1,400-seat Plummer Auditorium at Cal State Fullerton. Medley is appearing free, as is singer Jennifer Warnes and comedian Tom Dreesen.
The foundation, which began three years ago and has an office in Simpson’s hometown of Dana Point, has raised an estimated $267,000 and contributed to 133 battered women’s shelters through 1996.
Tickets are $28, or $20 for students with ID. Information: (714) 443-4200.
