Family Tied Up, Robbed by Home Invaders

SANTA ANA — Seven masked men burst into a home, tied up the residents and stole $1,000, electronic equipment and a car in an early morning home invasion Monday, police said.
Police had few details about the crime reported by residents in the 1700 block of West Highland Avenue, according to Santa Ana Police Lt. Alex Paulsen. The victims told police the armed robbers used extension cords to tie them up after breaking into the home shortly after midnight.
A car stolen during the crime was later recovered nearby, but no arrests were made and no suspect information was released, Paulsen said.
