OptimumCare Corp.: The Laguna Niguel provider of behavioral health services reported that net income for the third quarter declined 37% to $253,896, or 4 cents a share, from $400,443, or 6 cents a share, for the 1996 third quarter. The company said income taxes more than tripled for the period due to net operating losses recorded in 1996 that were not available in 1997. Revenue rose 3% to a record $3.1 million from $3 million.

Year-to-date net income was up 9% to $724,840, or 10 cents a share, from $664,698, or 10 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue climbed 14% to $9 million from $7.9 million.
