Bush is readying “Deconstructed,” an album of remixed versions of its songs, for late-October release. Among the remixers are Goldie and Tricky. “Mouth,” in addition to being in the collection, will be the first single from the soundtrack of “An American Werewolf in Paris,” with that album due Nov. 11; the film premieres in December. Film co-star Julie Delpy appears in a video just shot in the California desert. . . .

“The X-Files” creator Chris Carter and producer David Was are starting the 1013 Records label, with negotiations underway with several majors for distribution. The two put together the 1996 “Songs in the Key of X” album, which spawned a European and Asian hit in the show’s theme song. Plans call for the label to release the soundtrack from the coming “X-Files” movie and a collection spun off from Carter’s “Millennium” series, as well as signing new acts. . . .

The surviving members of Sublime have finished the tracks for “Second Hand Smoke,” including 10 songs recorded during sessions for last year’s “Sublime,” which was released just after the overdose death of leader Bradley Nowell. Also on the album are new mixes of “Saw Red” (with vocals by No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani) and “Doin’ Time.” Plans are in the works for a CD single of the latter featuring a guest appearance by the band’s fellow Long Beach native Snoop Doggy Dogg and remixes by the Pharcyde and Fugee Wyclef Jean. . . .

Two rare Soundgarden tracks will be included on “A-Sides,” an anthology from the Seattle band that broke up this year. “Nothing to Say,” originally from the band’s 1987 debut EP on Sub Pop Records, and “Bleed Together,” a 1996 European B-side never before released in the U.S., will be wrapped around the complete collection of the group’s singles. . . .

Phish’s second live album, titled “Slip Stitch and Pass,” is due Oct. 28 and features versions of ZZ Top’s “Jesus Just Left Chicago,” the Talking Heads’ “Cities” and the barbershop quartet standard “Hello My Baby,” plus “Mike’s Song,” a Phish-heads concert favorite that’s never been released before. . . .

The Persuasions are planning albums of songs from both Frank Zappa (who gave the Brooklyna cappella quintet its first record contract) and the Grateful Dead, both to be finished next year. “Zappapella” will be supervised by the late Zappa’s orchestra leader, Joel Thome. The group, which recently released the seasonal collection “You’re All I Want for Christmas,” has been performing Zappa’s “The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing” in concert, with a Nov. 14 show booked at McCabe’s. . . .

The seminal 1978 electro-pop single featuring “Warm Leatherette” and “TV OD,” recorded by Mute Records founder Daniel Miller under the alias the Normal, is being reissued by the label as a CD single. “Warm Leatherette,” inspired by the J.G. Ballard book “Crash,” which was recently made into a controversial feature film, was also a 1980 hit for Grace Jones.
