Search No Further for Superintendent
Dan Flynn has my support for Simi Valley school superintendent.
Norm Walker and the majority of the board should be applauded for saving taxpayer money on an expensive nationwide search. The minority dissenters on the board need to be reminded of the last search for a Simi superintendent. That search, about a year ago, cost the taxpayers a great deal of money and resulted in the termination of the new superintendent shortly after his hiring.
I believe the current minority dissenters now voted in favor of the previous superintendent’s hiring. What a costly mistake.
Thank you, Norm, and the rest of the board for finding an extremely well-qualified superintendent in our own backyard, with ties to the community. Thanks for saving money that can now be used in the classroom and not for an executive search firm.
