For the third consecutive week, a stingy defense and the rushing of Michael Woods were a winning combination for Littlerock High.
The Lobos limited visiting Barstow to 97 yards and Woods rushed for 186 yards in 24 carries in a 21-10 nonleague victory Saturday.
Littlerock (3-0), a seventh-year varsity program, is off to its best start ever.
Quarterback Myles Meeden and running back Conrad Castrellon each scored on short runs and Woods, who logged his third consecutive 100-yard game, added an 80-yard touchdown run.
Littlerock, which entered the week leading the region in team defense, has allowed 246 yards and nine points in three games. Barstow’s touchdown came in an interception return.
In other nonleague games:
San Marino 48, Harvard-Westake 30--James Nesson rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns in nine carries for the Titans (1-1) at Harvard-Westlake (2-1).
