VENTURA — Three men were arrested on burglary charges when a Neighborhood Watch participant called police Thursday afternoon after seeing items being hauled out of an east Ventura home, authorities said.
Oxnard residents Rudy Jesus Mendoza, 20, Daniel Ramirez, 19, and Gilbert Amaro Jr., 23, remained jailed Thursday night. Each was being held on $20,000 bail, according to jail officials.
The break-in occurred at 10:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Rodgers Street, according to the Ventura Police Department. A homeowner on the same block saw suspicious activity at a neighbor’s home and called officers, who arrived in less than two minutes, police said.
The resident was not at home when the break-in occurred.
