Hospital and Mall Co-Sponsor Job Fair

“Let’s Get to Work,” a job fair, will be held Thursday at Panorama Mall.
The event, co-sponsored twice yearly by Mission Community Hospital and the mall, is expected to attract employers including Bank of America, McDonald’s Corp., Six Flags Magic Mountain and the FBI.
Kathy Marx, a job developer with San Fernando Valley GAIN, a welfare-to-work program, said the job fair should help many people, especially welfare recipients looking for employment.
“Sometimes people just don’t have the information they need to find a job,” Marx said. “Hopefully this job fair can lead to employment for the people in this area.”
Participation and attendance is free. The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the mall, 8401 Van Nuys Blvd.
