Oxnard Firm Bringing Tracking System to Turkey
- Share via
Interactive Media and Geographic Information Systems in Oxnard has begun accepting subscriptions for the first real-time global positioning system in Turkey.
The service has been inaugurated in Istanbul and will cover a 100-kilometer area around the city. The company also is taking steps to introduce the service in the cities of Ankara and Izmir.
Availability of instantaneous positioning marks a major leap forward for Turkey in tracking and managing automotive and marine fleet movements. This includes the busy ferry traffic across the Bosporus River, which separates the European and Asian sides of Istanbul.
