A man was arrested Monday shortly after robbing a bank in Huntington Center, police said.
Daniel Luis Delaney, 32, of Sunset Beach walked into a Bank of America at 7777 Edinger Ave. shortly after 5 p.m., pretended to have a gun in his jacket pocket, and handed a teller a note demanding cash, authorities said.
After being given cash, Delaney fled north on foot but was apprehended 20 minutes later by Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley police officers in a parking structure on Center Drive, police said.
The money was recovered, and Delaney was booked into Huntington Beach City Jail, where he is to be arraigned Wednesday, police said. Authorities would not say how much cash was taken from the bank.
