Cotton to Attend North Carolina State

RALEIGH, N.C. — Schea Cotton, one of the nation’s top prep basketball prospects, has signed a national letter of intent to play for North Carolina State, Coach Herb Sendek announced Monday.
Cotton, from Lakewood, led Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas to a 23-7 record this season, averaging 23 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Last year, Cotton signed a letter of intent with UCLA and was only days away from attending his first class when the NCAA challenged the score he received on his college entrance exam. “With the loss of Ishua Benjamin and C.C. Harrison, he will give us another perimeter player,” Sendek said.
