Ty Harper
Corona del Mar, Junior; Baseball/Third Base
Harper led Corona del Mar’s offensive barrage that produced 25 runs in two games to help the Sea Kings (5-7, 2-5 in league) earn a split with then fourth-ranked Santa Margarita. Harper hit two three-run home runs in an 11-10 victory and went four for eight with nine runs batted in and four runs scored in two games last week.
Eric Barnes/Volleyball/Outside Hitter
* Servite, junior. Had 29 kills in a five-game victory Tustin and 11 in a four-game victory over Ocean View to help Servite (10-1, 5-0) take command in the Golden West League.
Gerald Laird/Baseball/Catcher
* La Quinta, senior. Went eight for 10 with two home runs, six RBIs and six runs scored in three victories for top-ranked La Quinta.
Blair Lucas/Baseball/Catcher
* El Toro, senior. Had two home runs and nine RBIs in three victories, which included an 11-8 upset of then third-ranked Servite.
