Gardening Topic of Book Festival Panel Discussion

Gardening in Southern California will be the subject of a panel discussion at the Los Angeles Times’ Festival of Books next weekend at UCLA.
Times Garden Editor Robert Smaus, author of “52 Weeks in the California Garden,” will moderate the panel at 4 p.m. next Sunday.
Panelists will be authors Clair G. Martin III (“100 English Roses for the American Garden”), Kathryn Phillips (“Paradise by Design, Native Plants and the New American Landscape”) and Bob Perry (“Landscape Plants for Western Regions”).
Books will be available at the VLT Gardner booth, and the authors will autograph their books after the panel discussion in the signing area. Smaus will also autograph books at the Times Books booth, from 2 to 3:30 p.m next Sunday.
