Screenwriter to Speak at Fund-Raiser for Library

Author Victor Villasenor, who wrote the screenplay “The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez,” will be the guest speaker at a fund-raising luncheon Wednesday for the Santa Fe Springs City Library.
The writer will speak at noon at the Clarke Estate, a historical landmark in Santa Fe Springs. Villasenor has written several books, including the novel “Macho” and the epic “Rain of Gold.”
