Electric Car Rides Offered at Mixer

Electric car rides will be offered at an environmental business mixer on Thursday.
The mixer is part of a program sponsored by the city of Thousand Oaks and the Chamber of Commerce to promote the use of alternative fuels such as compressed natural gas and electricity. A city-owned electric vehicle will be at the mixer, along with a winning NASCAR race car that runs on re-refined oil.
The event will be held at the Saturn dealership at 3440 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information, call the Chamber of Commerce at 499-1993.
