Tommy Breech

SPORT: Football
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Breech, a senior wide receiver and defensive back, has produced big plays all season in helping Paraclete to its second consecutive Southern Section final. He leads the Spirits with 36 catches for 800 yards and 12 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 142 yards and completed both of his passes, one for a touchdown.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Breech accounted for 231 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in a 62-33 victory over Cathedral in a Division XII semifinal. He set up Paraclete’s first two touchdowns with a 70-yard kickoff return and a 53-yard run, caught scoring passes of 23 and 51 yards, and returned his first interception of the season 41 yards for a touchdown.
GIRLS
Tiffany Brymer
SCHOOL: Rio Mesa
YEAR: Senior
SPORT: Tennis
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Brymer, Rio Mesa’s No. 1 singles player after transferring from an Ojai tennis academy in September, was 17-0 in singles sets and 3-0 in doubles sets during the regular season and remained unbeaten through the individual tournament. She won the Pacific View League singles title and was chosen the league’s most valuable player.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Brymer proved herself the top player in the region by rallying to win the Southern Section individual championship with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Luana Magnani of San Marino in the final at the Racquet Club of Irvine. She was 7-0 in matches in the individual tournament.
