The City Council last week renewed the city’s contract for ambulance services with CARE Ambulance Inc. of Anaheim, saying the firm has exceeded the standards of its contract. City Manager Raymond H. Kromer said the company meets the standards for response times on 98% of calls; the contract calls for 85%. The one-year contract extension was granted unanimously.
