Texas Tech 78, Pepperdine 76 2OT--Jayson Mitchell scored only two points, but they came at the buzzer of the second overtime to give the Red Raiders a victory in the consolation round of the Pearl Harbor Classic at Laie, Hawaii.
Mitchell, who made only one of 10 shots, rebounded a missed shot by Mario Layne and made the game-winner, a 15-foot baseline effort.
With the exception of a good start by Pepperdine (6-5), the game was close all the way with neither team able to break away.
Cliff Owens led Texas Tech (7-4) with 18 points and had a career-high 18 rebounds.
