Residents, Officials to Discuss Newport Coast Annexation Plans

Residents interested in the city’s plans to annex Newport Coast can meet with local leaders Wednesday and Jan. 28.
Mayor Thomas C. Edwards and City Manager Kevin J. Murphy will present the city’s recent financial analysis of the proposal to add the unincorporated community to the city. They also will discuss the development slated for the seven square miles of Newport Coast.
The meeting Wednesday will be at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 3300 W. Newport Blvd. The Jan. 28 meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Andersen Elementary School, 1900 Port Seaborne Way.
