Detectives are investigating the death of a middle-aged woman whose body was discovered in her Norwalk home after friends were unable to contact her, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
She was last seen at 9 a.m. Sunday, said spokesman Henry Garza. Friends went to her home and found her on the floor of a bedroom about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Garza said. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead, he said.
There was no obvious cause of death, but investigators said it appeared suspicious, Garza said.
An autopsy is pending on the woman, whose identity was not released.
She was described as in her late 40s, and she lived alone in the 10500 block of Borson Street, Garza said.
