The future of transportation and air quality in the South Bay will be discussed at a public presentation tonight sponsored by the South Bay Cities Council of Governments at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center on Civic Center Drive.
Representatives from the Southern California Assn. of Governments, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Southern California Air Quality Management District will discuss, among other things, how the expansion of Los Angeles International Airport will affect traffic in the area.
Other issues to be covered at the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., include putting in a busway from downtown Los Angeles to Hawthorne and extending the Green Line trolley to LAX.
