Veronex Technologies Inc.: The Irvine software maker lost $1.2 million, or 19 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended Feb. 28. That compares to net income of $5.1 million, or 99 cents a share, for the prior year. Revenue increased to $294,000 from $132,000. The revenue for fiscal 1998 resulted from sales of specialty software and support services by the company’s Mainstream Technologies Inc. unit. Revenue and profit during fiscal 1997 were the result of onetime legal settlements and revenue from the company’s prior business activities.
