Services District Plans Move to Bigger Offices

Looking for more space, officials are moving Rossmoor’s equivalent of city hall to former school offices at Rush Park.
Though overseen by the county, the Rossmoor Community Services District headquarters at Rossmoor Park on Hedwig Road has provided local services for 11 years.
“We just don’t have enough room here,” District Manager James S. Mocalis said. “We have three people in one small office.”
Mocalis expects the move--to 3021 Blume Drive--to take two to three months. District directors, who operate much like city council members, will meet at the old location for an indefinite period of time.
The building at Rush Park once served as the administrative offices for the now-closed Rush Elementary School.
District directors are still debating what to do with the office space at Rossmoor Park. Options include leasing the space.
