Cal’s Jackson Signs With UCI

Sean Jackson, a 6-foot-5 guard from California, has transferred to UC Irvine, school officials announced Tuesday.
Jackson will sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining. Jackson played in 17 games last season.

Pepperdine infielder David Matranga, who played at Orange High, has signed with the Houston Astros, the club announced.

Josh Lee has been named women’s soccer coach and men’s and women’s tennis coach at Pacific Christian College. The school also named Mike Klunder as women’s volleyball coach. Klunder was an assistant coach on the women’s team last season.

Tom Tereschuk has resigned as baseball coach at Servite after five seasons.
