From their machine parts factory, a father and daughter have organized a nationwide relief effort for Kosovo refugees. “They need help now or never,” said Adam Dukaj, an ethnic Albanian. “Whoever has the heart to help should help now.”
The 63-year-old was born in Montenegro, but nearby Kosovo is close to his family’s heart. “The people of Kosovo are just like our brothers and sisters,” said his California-born daughter, Naida Dukaj, 23. “We used to be all one until they divided us.”
To make a contribution, call Kosovo Humanitarian Aid at (714) 891-2944 or visit the Web site at https://www.khao.org.
