The 52nd annual Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race sets sail today, and the number of yachts expected is already 20% higher than last year’s 500 vessels, organizers said. With those numbers, the field for the 125-mile trek could rival the largest number of yachts ever to sail the race. Teams will compete for the President of the United States trophy, the President of Mexico trophy and the coveted First-to-Finish honor.
