Political Donations

* “Wealth Buys Access to State Politics” (April 18) states on the front page that $300 million was donated by a variety of people, corporations and entities but names only one: the California Teachers Assn. However, those who turn to Page 28 will find there that the CTA is not the biggest donor and that it donated less than 10% of the total $300 million. I wondered why the CTA was singled out in this way until I noticed that the CTA was the only union, the only organization composed of workers in the game of influencing government.
Clearly we can’t have workers influencing the government, because this government is of millionaires, by millionaires and for millionaires, and the working man should butt out.
