VAN NUYS — A Burbank woman who conceived with the help of in vitro fertilization has delivered the first set of quadruplets in the 40-year history of Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Colleen Whiteman, 39, of Burbank gave birth to three boys and a girl by emergency Caesarean section Thursday night and went home Monday.
The babies, each weighing less than 3 pounds, were delivered about two months premature because one of the boys had a medical condition that required early delivery, said hospital spokeswoman Kellye Tarelka.
