Seventh-grader David Castro will become the principal of Nicolas Junior High School on Monday, and Principal Allen Waterman will become a seventh-grader for the day.
Castro will walk through classrooms, take phone calls, review attendance with the school’s counselor and generally supervise the campus. Waterman, meanwhile, will attend all of Castro’s classes.
It is the second year that a student has been named Principal for a Day at Nicolas. Castro was selected by a drawing of the names of all the students at the school.
