The Garden Grove Fire Department is kicking off the annual “Spark of Love” toy drive by participating in the Garden Grove Downtown Business Assn.’s inaugural tree-lighting ceremony. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. More than 312,000 toys were collected across Southern California last year for needy children. All Garden Grove fire stations will serve as collection sites for new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment. Information: (714) 741-5600.
