The city will begin installing the first of six surveillance cameras at the intersection of Ortega Highway and Del Obispo Street on Monday to catch red-light violators.
The camera will take approximately two weeks to install and won’t be operating until Jan. 3. A second camera will be installed in January and is scheduled to be operating by the end of the month.
Violators will be issued warning citations in January. They will start receiving traffic tickets in February.
