In the Lexington Transy men’s Tip-Off Classic:
Concordia 97, Knoxville College 75--Guard Josh Giles scored 36 points and center Harry Holmann added 28 to lead Concordia, which trailed at halftime, 48-45. The Eagles shot 61.5% in the second half, including six of 11 three-pointers. Giles made six of 10 three-pointers and all 10 of his free throws.
In the Redlands men’s basketball tournament:
Chapman 88, Westminster 68--Mike Gartner scored 27 points, including five three-pointers, and was eight for 11 at the free-throw line for Chapman (7-1). Gartner was also the rebound leader with nine. Brandon Fries was the scoring leader in the game with 29 points, making 10 of 14 in free throws for Westminster (4-6).
