Re “Globalization Isn’t a One-Size-Fits-All Answer,” Commentary, Dec. 1: Tom Plate refers to the Japan of 50 years ago as a “Third World country.” Really, Mr. Plate, a Third World country that waged war on the United States for more than four years and that was stopped with nuclear weapons?
