Edward K. Southfield was elected president of the Cypress School District board of trustees Tuesday evening during its annual reorganization meeting.
Southfield, a lifelong resident of Cypress, was first elected to the board in 1981. This will be his fourth time serving as board president.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, Ellen Friedmann was elected president pro tem, and Donna Erickson was elected board clerk.
