San Marcos 47, Royal 43--The No. 7 Highlanders squandered a nine-point lead after three quarters and were outscored, 17-4, in the fourth in a second-round game of the Santa Paula tournament.
Kristen Galbreath scored 16 points for Royal (5-2) and Novey Woodard-Parker added 10.
El Camino Real 64, Louisville 52--Christina Aguinaga scored 19 of her 28 points in the first half to help the Conquistadores to victory in a nonleague game at El Camino Real.
Aguinaga is averaging 27.7 points a game for El Camino Real (3-0), which extended a 29-26 lead at halftime to 47-34 after the third quarter.
Cherhara Shields scored 10 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter for El Camino Real.
Canoga Park 37, Chaminade 36--Julianka Perez made three free throws with one second left to give the Hunters (4-5) their first lead and the nonleague victory at Canoga Park.
Tiffany Saunders scored 15 points and Elizabeth Hernandez added 10 for the Hunters. Perez had eight.
Chatsworth 64, Marshall 57--Pam Clark scored 10 points in the first quarter and keyed a 20-2 run for the Chancellors in a victory at the San Fernando tournament championship.
Clark finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds for Chatsworth (6-2).
Liz Sun, who scored 14 points, and Michelle Cannon, who scored eight, were all-tournament selections for Chatsworth.
Grant 79, Cleveland 54--Deja Cruz scored 20 points for the Lancers, who built a 17-point lead at halftime en route to winning the third-place game of the San Fernando tournament.
Alexis Weatherspoon added 19 points, Krystal Clay scored 18 and Leslie Mui had 15 for Grant (6-4).
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
North Hollywood 63, Kennedy 47--Ken Hauser scored 13 points in the first quarter of a nonleague victory by the Huskies at North Hollywood.
Hauser finished with 26 points for the Huskies (5-1), ranked No. 7 in the region by The Times.
Dax Grooms scored 14 points for Kennedy, which trailed at halftime, 39-21.
Channel Islands 41, Thousand Oaks 36--Mike Keddington’s layup in the final minute clinched a victory for the Raiders (5-4) at Thousand Oaks.
Thousand Oaks (6-3), the No. 9-ranked team in the region, hit a pair of three-point shots to cut a 39-30 deficit to 39-36 before Keddington’s layup.
Glendale 61, L.A. Marshall 56--Gilbert Yousefian scored 20 points and Eddie Karibyan and Vartan Amayakyan each added 12 points for the Dynamiters (4-3) in a victory at the La Canada-St. Francis tournament.
Poly 61, El Monte 55--Sef Vargas scored 14 points and Jose Rodriguez added 13 in a pool play game of the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Poly (4-5) plays Oak Bay (Canada) today for the title.
Canoga Park 71, Maranatha 46--Jammie Harris scored 17 of his 22 points in the first half to help the Hunters (7-6) build a 31-20 lead on their way to a victory in the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Moorpark 65, Steveston (Canada) 46--Ryan Moser made four three-pointers and scored 16 of his 18 points in the third quarter and the Musketeers won in the La Canada-St. Francis tournament.
Todd Tomlinson added 12 points for Moorpark (5-0).
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Ventura 79, West L.A. 59--Brooke Ewing had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Issaiah Thomas added 14 points for the Pirates (6-6) in a first-round victory at the San Bernardino tournament.
