Parents having trouble understanding their children’s math homework can find relief at a workshop offered by the Los Alamitos Unified School District and its PTA next month. “Math Matters,” a one-night workshop, is designed to refresh parents’ memories on everything from kindergarten counting to high school calculus. Once an overview of the curriculum is given, math experts will be available to answer specific questions. The workshop begins at 7 p.m. March 3 in the Oak Middle School multipurpose room at 10821 Oak St.
