Greek Churches Said to Have Aided Rebels

A Turkish prosecutor said imprisoned Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan has revealed that Greek churches helped fund his guerrillas, a development that threatened to heighten tensions between Turkey and Greece. Prosecutor Nuh Mete Yuksel said Ocalan disclosed in a 36-page confession that Greek churches collected money for his Kurdistan Workers Party, the official Anatolia news agency reported.
