The Police Department recently hosted the second annual Beach Play Day, along with other police agencies in the region, to expose at-risk youth to positive experiences, said Sgt. Joe Vargas. About 40 local youths joined an estimated 600 participants who were taken to Huntington Beach on Tuesday for a day of activities, including bodyboarding, volleyball and baseball. Most will continue the Beach Play Day activities today.
