Volunteers are needed to help at the Friends of Children Center, a health clinic that provides free and low-cost medical and dental services to uninsured children. A variety of opportunities are available, including working the reception area, providing clerical and clinical assistance and reading or interacting with children waiting for appointments.
The clinic is on the grounds of Las Lomas Elementary School in La Habra and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those interested in volunteering can call (714) 447-3460 or come to the center, 301 W. Las Lomas St.
