Barbara DeMarco Barrett, host and producer of “Writers on Writing,” a weekly author-interview program on KUCI-FM (88.9) in Irvine, will broadcast from a different spot today.

The program, which airs Wednesdays on the public radio station at UC Irvine, will broadcast live at 6 p.m. at the new Borders Books and Music, 1890 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa.

Barrett’s guest will be Dennis McDougal, author of the bestselling biography “The Last Mogul: Lew Wasserman, MCA, and the Hidden History of Hollywood.”

The live broadcast from Borders’ Cafe Espresso offers patrons an opportunity to participate, meet the author and have books signed, says Borders general manager Chris Giaco. Editions of “Writers on Writing” will be broadcast from the bookstore periodically.
