The Fire and Marine Department is trying to locate former lifeguards who were part of its 76-year history for a reunion later this year. Any alumni or friends of former lifeguards before the 1994 training class are requested to provide current addresses and phone numbers.
The department will compile a list that will be used for the reunion. Those who know the whereabouts of past lifeguards can call Lt. Jim Turner at (949) 644-3046 or send an e-mail to Jturnercity.newport-beach.ca.us, or call Lt. Eric Bauer at (949) 644-3045 or send an e-mail to Ebauercity.newport-beach.ca.us.
