Ocean View School District trustees have authorized submission of a Development and Implementation Grant application for Oak View School. If awarded, the three-year federal grant will provide about $150,000 a year, beginning in September. The funds will help develop and implement special alternative instruction for limited-English students. The board also authorized submission of a state grant application for $12,300 to provide reading instruction training for new kindergarten through third-grade teachers.
